This block is located on the eastern flank of the Bharuch depression in south Gujarat.
Exploration
Phase is over and currently two oilfields
have been discovered. The block was awarded in a
pre-NELP 6th round. GSPC and ONGC are the JV partners.
Pramoda
Oil Field
HOEC working interest: 35%
The Pramoda Oil field in the block has been put on production in year 2005. Development well PRD-2 drilled in 2005 flowed oil from the previously untested and well developed S4 Hazad sand in addition to the target pay sand S3. Currently 2 wells are on production and crude is being evacuated through ONGC’s AKTP pipeline located close to the facility.

HOEC working interest: 35%
The South Pramoda Oil field in the block was discovered in 2007 and has been put on production in Dec. 2008 after connecting the well to Pramoda Oil Field Facilities.
Exploration Area
After completing Exploration Phase Commitments, additional exploration initiatives have been proposed to evaluate the prospectivity of the balance area. Joint Venture has proposed additional exploration activities which covers an area of approx. 104 sq.km. under the extension policy of Government of India.
