How long have you been with HOEC?
I have been with the company for the last 30 years.
What makes HOEC a special place to work for you?
To me HOEC is special because it has the vision and modesty of a pioneer promoter. I also appreciate the management’s transparency with regards to the company’s performance in all aspects, and the respect and bond that exists amongst all employees of the organization.
Which projects have been the most meaningful to you? Why?
The Assam exploration project is very meaningful, as it was executed at a time when no other private oil company was willing to venture into the North-East for exploration. HOEC’s good work in the Cambay region with a continuing emphasis on HSE, cost control and cooperation with JV partners is also noteworthy.
If you weren’t in this profession what would you be?
Had I not established a career in the Oil & Gas industry, I would have surely pursued a profession related to nature, the earth, or the environment, as I am very passionate about these fields.
Since you began your career, what’s changed the most about the Oil & Gas industry?
The industry has evolved over the years, and continues to do so even today. However, digital change seems to be the most prominent driving force in the industry’s evolution.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Have patience. This too shall pass.
