- Incorporation

- HOEC offers all geophysical services and seismic data acquisition services. Sets up a corporate office in Baroda following Govt. decision to allow private participation in Oil & Gas E&P activities
1990
- HOEC gets listed on Bombay Stock Exchange through Public Issue
1993
- First private sector oil company to have commenced oil exploration activities. HOEC signs its first PSC for an onshore area with the Government of India
1993
- HOEC strikes "First Oil" in Asjol field, and expands its portfolio (PY-3, CB-OS/1, AAP-ON-94/1, CB-ON-7 (Palej) and North Balol)
2005
- First offshore campaign at PY-1, and corporate headquarters move to Chennai
2008
- ENI UK acquires 20% additional shares, thereby taking total shareholding of promoters to 47.18%
2010
- Commercial production from PY-1 commences
2014
- Successfull drilling of ‘Dirok-4’ and submission of commercial discovery report. Downgrade of reserves from PY-1 post drilling of ‘Surya’ well
2015
- Mr. P. Elango and Mr. R. Jeevanandam join the board and the company begins its turnaround
2017
- "First Gas" from Dirok. PSCs of B-80 and Kherem, won in DSF-I are signed
2018
- Full commercial production from Dirok field. PY-1 revival campaign begins, and production increases from 2 mmscfd to 10 mmscfd
2019
- Focus on B-80 and Dirok phase-2 over the next 18-24 months
